Overland Park Rotary Club Youth Leadership Institute (YLI)

Each summer the Overland Park Rotary Foundation conducts a week long program for approximately thirty high school students. The program's objectives are to promote civic engagement and citizenship. Participants in the program study discuss and apply leadership concepts, skills, models, styles and methods.

Students work as part of a team to prepare and present small group projects. In addition, the program includes teambuilding exercises at Adventure Woods, participation in a diversity awareness program and work sessions with Johnson County leaders.
